The trails are open!

225 club ticket sales are going slow. Half the tickets still remain to be sold. Its very important we sell every ticket this year, because the money raised is going into our Excavator fund for future payment. If you haven't received a packet yet to sell, or would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Brad Hilton at 315-298-3261

March 2005

Individual memberships $20.00 - Family memberships $25.00 OUR MEMBERSHIP FOR THE NEW YEAR IS DUE IN APRIL!

Although our trails normally are open from April 1st to October 1st, we will have to notify you in our April Newsletter as to whether we will be able to open the trails the 1st. It will depend on the mud and snow conditions at that time.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be at the Salmon River Inn in Altmar on March 19, 2005 at 11 am.

Special Thank You

The Club has received a thank you from the Cronk family to all who donated their time and/or money to help with the medical costs for "Stevie Cronk" after his very bad accident last December. Stevie is home and doing well, however he does have to go back to the hospital soon for another operation. Keep up the good work Stevie.

President's Note
Spring is almost here and soon we will be starting our work details on the trails. I want to emphasize again the importance of "MORE HELP". If we do not get more help on the trails and at our numerous functions, this Club is not going to make it. It is as simple as that! We have many things going on every year and this year we are having our first Tradeshow. This is going to require a lot of help from a lot of members to prepare for and run this show. PLEASE put your time in for YOUR CLUB!

News
We have put up a new Cork Bulletin Board in our Pavilion next to Little Lukey's Store since it is the meeting place for all work details. As of April 1st it will be posted each week on this bulletin board where the work is being done on the work details for that week. There will also be a sign-up sheet. We need and would appreciate more help. The same few cannot keep doing all the work indefinitely.
The State says NO to double riders unless machine is made for it. As of April 1st, 2005 due to insurance reasons it will be necessary to be a "Member of our Club" or belong to "TrailPass" to ride our trails.
Two of our Sponsor's have advised us of special discounts for members of our club: Trestle Pool Cafe in Altmar will give a 10% discount to any member with a valid membership card. Sharp's Marine Repair in Scriba will give a 15% discount on all accessories to any valid member.

TRADESHOW, CRAFTERS & FLEA MARKET
Sponsor's! This event has now been advertised in two newspapers and we are getting a pretty good response, so if you want a "Spot" at the Tradeshow please let us know immediately. We mailed out applications to all our sponsor's, but if you need one you can call Mary Gaffey at 298-5444, Steve Cronk at 298-3312 or Arlene Barnard at 298-5601. The show is being held on June 11th and 12th in the large lot behind the Townhouse in Williamstown. The Spots are 15' x 40' or 15' x 30' for only $30.00 per spot. Where else can you advertise so cheap? The show will be open from 9 am to 5 pm both days. We will be having a band playing on the stage area from 1 pm to 5 pm on Sat. The Club is putting on a chicken BBQ each day. The Townhouse will have a Food Stand for hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks etc. There will be a 50/50 raffle each day with a drawing for the winner at 4 pm. There will also be ATV demonstration rides.

Members: Work needed to be done before and during: Stake out and mark every spot (96); Set up for Chicken BBQ to include tables for work area with shelter overhead, picnic tables to eat at, a station for washing hands, garden hose for supply of water available, and of course, someone to run the BBQ both days; Set up tables and chairs for the sale of T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.; Set up table and chairs for sale of 50/50 tickets; Set up table and chairs for sale of Memberships, with shelter over all three; Put out parking signs, trash barrels etc, plus help of course with the parking both days. As you can see folks, much help is needed both days. Not to mention all the running beforehand to acquire all the needed items in preparation and planning of this event. It takes a lot of money to build and maintain trails. These events are what helps us to raise the money to build and maintain these trails.

SO LETS ALL PULL TOGETHER!
