The trails are open!

225 club ticket sales are going slow. Half the tickets still remain to be sold. Its very important we sell every ticket this year, because the money raised is going into our Excavator fund for future payment. If you haven't received a packet yet to sell, or would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Brad Hilton at 315-298-3261

Final Meeting 2005 - News

Saturday, October 15th was the club’s last regular meeting this year. The meeting was held at the Salmon River Inn in Altmar. A plaque was presented to “Jr.” O’Neil the clubs trail work coordinator for all his help in building and maintaining trails. The President, Steve Cronk, also thanked all in the club who have helped throughout the year. Jr. O’Neil expressed his thanks to all the people who have helped him; specifically Steve Crim, Gaius Fox, Roger Manchester, Barry Moot, for all the equipment, welders, generators, drills, saws, etc. they have provided to the work parties to make things easier. Great job to all.

Work on the new home for our club “stuff” has begun to take shape on the property the club purchased on County Rte. 22 in the Village of Altmar. A tractor trailer bed donated by K&S Tires, Williamstown, has been relocated on this property to house materials necessary to build trails in a dry environment before their use. This trailer bed will also house our new “trail truck” when it is delivered in April. A small storage shed has also been moved to the property, installed on an existing concrete pad and enclosed with chain link fencing. A 30’ gate was donated by Rich Mullin of Altmar who will be given a honorary membership for his generosity.

The “trail truck” raffle is off to a great start with approximately 200 tickets bought to date, but is slowing now. The club needs your help with this raffle. To make this raffle work we will need you all to purchase the two tickets sent, or return them as soon as possible. If you cannot purchase the tickets please return them by Christmas so that someone else can sell them. There were only 1500 tickets printed for this raffle and 1082 were mailed to the membership and sponsors. The drawing is not until April, but our treasury is soon to be depleted due to the first payment for this “trail truck” and needs to be built up
again. Please do all you can. If you have any questions or would like additional tickets call Don or Nancie Hildreth 298-4267.
