The trails are open!

225 club ticket sales are going slow. Half the tickets still remain to be sold. Its very important we sell every ticket this year, because the money raised is going into our Excavator fund for future payment. If you haven't received a packet yet to sell, or would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Brad Hilton at 315-298-3261

NEXT MEETING

On August 19th the regular monthly meeting will be held at  11 AM at the Town House Restaurant in Williamstown, NY.  Williamstown is located on Rte. 13 in the village of Williamstown.

SEPTEMBER MEETING CHANGE

The monthly meeting scheduled for September 16th has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 24th at 11 AM.  The location will be at the American Legion Post in Altmar, NY.  The meeting will precede the annual Appreciation Dinner (steak or chicken) from 12-3 PM held for landowners, members and the public.  At 3:30 PM we will hold a benefit ride and a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going to HOSPICE.   Please mark your calendars accordingly.

PRESIDENT’S NOTE

As you all know it takes a lot of time and work to keep the Club going.  Please do your share.  If you can’t work, please make a donation do we can hire this work done. 

 

WEST EXTENSION NEWS

The next regular monthly meeting of the West Extension will be held August 8th at 7 PM Humphrey’s Hide-a-way.  Don’t forget the August 17th Hannibal Fireman’s Parade.  Meet at the Fairley School parking lot on Cayuga Street at 6:15 for line up. 

The campout at Dick Lunkenheimer’s will be August 17th (set up) with camping on the 18th and 19th.  Take down should be done by the 20th.  If you haven’t signed up please do so at the next meeting or call 564-6619 and leave a message with your name and the number of people attending.  Hope to see a great turnout for this event. 

ATV RALLY & EXPO

August 26th is the date set by the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce for their 1st Annual ATV Rally and Expo including Tug Hill trail riding, mud bog, and timed races. The location will be the Flat Rock Inn on Flat Rock Road in Lewis County.  The hours of the event are 9 AM to 7 PM.  The contestant fee is $10 and General Admission is $5.  The Expo includes ATV dealers, local crafters, food vendors, and a poker run benefiting Lewis County General Hospital Foundation.  Family fun-riding, games, paddleboats and live music will be part of the entertainment.   Mark your calendars and make sure you support our neighbors to the north.  Members from our club are welcome to participate in any of the events.  Sounds like a fun filled day.  Any member who is willing to help with this event please contact Steve Cronk at 298-3312.

The 5th Annual Pig Roast was a great success and the Club extends it’s sincere thanks to Doug and Shirley Henry and their very capable staff for their support of the Club in putting this event together.  The food was excellent as usual. 

Also, our thanks go to Les Huntley of the Great White North Trading Post in Williamstown for his donation of a $224. retail priced muzzleload rifle to be raffled off at the Pig Roast. This raffle took in $263. for the Club. We thank you for your generosity in buying these raffle tickets and making this such a success.   

Tip for the month:

Leave private property as is, such as beaver dams, gates, cables, ribbons,
posted  signs, etc.
