The trails are open!

225 club ticket sales are going slow. Half the tickets still remain to be sold. Its very important we sell every ticket this year, because the money raised is going into our Excavator fund for future payment. If you haven't received a packet yet to sell, or would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Brad Hilton at 315-298-3261

President's Note

Hello and Happy New Year. I'm writing a few lines about the Club's past, present and future.

PAST - In April 2002, we had a meeting to form a four wheeler club. There were about 100 people at this meeting. Many ideas were discussed. Some were good and some, not so good. I was appointed President. There was also a Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and three Board members elected to office. With this our Club began with no money. The Altmar Hotel, Mallory Lumber and Steel and Orishack Seal Coating donated $100 each. With this and many more sponsorships and dues our club began to grow.

Officers, Board Members and myself attended many meetings in Oswego, Albany, Canton, Lowville, etc. with politicians and state representatives. We had to be incorporated as a club and have insurance. With this information we went to work and got many donations from businesses. Also many new members joined. Some very hard working members started making trails by cutting and hauling brush and building bridges by hand with very little to work with. Many of these same workers are getting tired and burnt out. MEMBERS WHO WORKED HARD - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND THE REST KNOW WHO THEY ARE.

PRESENT - We now have aboujt 65 miles of trails with more trails coming this Spring, providing we get more help. We have our own property, a building, storage trailer and about 600 members. We have tools and materials to build with but it takes time, money and equipment. We are purchasing a TRAIL TRUCK for $25,000. We are running a fund raiser raffle to help with the purchase of this truck. WE NEED YOU TO SELL OR BUY THESE TICKETS AND ALSO GET THEM BACK TO US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

REMEMBER ---- WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT AT BENEFITS, FUND RAISERS, ETC. THERE WILL BE NO FUTURE

FUTURE - What the future holds for us is a safe place to ride, supported and funded by County, State and independent businesses, controlled by oujr Board and members. This is a few years away (BUT IT WILL HAPPEN) IF WE GET YOUR SUPPORT SELLING OR BUYING TICKETS, GOING TO FUND RAISERS, PAYING YOUR DUES, BUSINESS DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS, ETC.

COME ON... HELP YOUR CLUB... COME TO THE MEETINGS... TELL US HOW YOU FEEL!!!

Steve Cronk, President
