April 2010 NEWSLETTER
*****************************************************************************************
NEXT MEETING
The next regular meeting will be held on Saturday, April 17,
2010 at 11 AM at the Altmar Hotel in Altmar, NY.
Election of officers will be held at this meeting. It is important that all members
participate in this election.

PRESIDENT’S NOTE
You are the people who have to make things work. We are all in this together. If
we want to keep trails open and make new ones we must stop the outlaws. Go slow
and quiet and respectable. The trails are not race tracks, they are trails for riding
and relaxing and enjoying life. It is hard to convince landowners to let us use
a trail and that we are respectable riders when they can hear you coming two miles
away or see just a flash go by at
11 or 12 AM at night when you rattle their windows while he and his family are asleep.
So you see what I am getting to. If we want to keep what we got, we need to stop
this now.
Thank you.

CLUB NEWSLETTER

A newsletter raffle to help with this year’s cost will start in May. We will sell
1000 tickets at $5. each. First prize will be $500. with four other prizes of $100.
each. The tickets will appear as part of the May newsletter. One of the newsletter
pages will include three tickets. You don’t have to purchase all three, but if you
would like to buy/sell the other two you are welcome to do so. We hope all members
will buy at least one ticket. All ticket holders will be responsible for mailing
in the stub and check for any tickets purchased. The raffle drawing will be held
at the Landowners Dinner in September, 2010.
Additional raffle tickets will be available at each meeting throughout the season
and at all Club events.
Remember, if all members bought just one ticket the cost for printing and mailing
the newsletter would be covered for the year. We need your help to bring you all
the news you deserve.
MEMBERSHIP FORM

In October we enclosed a 2010 revised membership form with the newsletter. As we
told you all last year, we will require a license plate number for each of your
machines. Other questions have been added as discussed in the previous newsletters.
A new address for membership has been established. The address for memberships
only is P.O. Box 55, Altmar, NY 13302. Please show the word “membership”
on the envelope.
The existing mailing address of P.O. Box 296 is to be used for all other correspondence
as in the past.
Please mail back your membership forms in now and avoid standing in line at our
meetings. Make sure all questions are answered. If your membership
is not current by May you will not receive a newsletter until your membership is
paid for the year.
If you opt not to receive a newsletter in the mail, please note that you will have
to access the Club webpage to be able to read the latest newsletter. We will not
be emailing the newsletter.
ANNUAL CALENDAR
Included with this newsletter is our annual Club calendar. It has been compiled
with information we have at this time. Changes could occur, but for the most part
only additions will occur.
Please make sure you keep this calendar for reference. The newsletter
or the website will keep you current with all additions and changes so you can update
your calendar.

NEW CLUB RULE
FOR 2010
There will be no riding on Club trails after 10 PM. This is being implemented due
to concerns of our landowners and local laws.
Also some town roads in our Township of Albion are restricted to no riding after
10 PM. Please go by these rules on all town roads.
IMPORTANT TRAIL INFO
Patrols will be set up to check membership cards on the trails. Make sure your cards
are with you while you are riding.
A noise monitor has also been purchased and will be used to determine if anyone
riding the trails is violating the noise level requirement.
OSWEGO COUNTY FAIR
CAR PARKING
The Club has again been hired for $2500. to help in parking
cars during the Oswego County Fair in Sandy Creek. The event will run from July
1st to July 5th. We are looking for volunteers to help with
this event. Sign up sheets will be available at each upcoming meeting.
This is a good
fund raiser for the Club and we need your help.
Each year it becomes a little bit better and more help is added. Come join in and
help the Club and the County with this event.
Free camping with all hookups will be available. The Club members help with providing
food for our workers. Donations of cases of water for the fair workers will be needed.
Call Mary @ 298-5444 to arrange delivery.
