*****************************************************************************************

NEXT MEETING

The next regular meeting will be held on Saturday, June 19th. 2010 at 11 AM at Eddy’ s Place on Route 13 in Pulaski, NY.

PRESIDENT’S NOTE

On Saturday, May 15th a DEC officer stopped three ATV’s for riding on County Rte. 22. They were from the state of Maryland. They had no plates or registration or insurance. They were ticketed for each violation, which is

great. It shows that you got to have it, no exceptions

Also, I would like to say thank you to “You Guy’s Place” for sending a gift certificate for two dinners to the landowner who reopened his land to the Club so we can get to Happy Valley and back. So let’s support them. They have fine food, lots to drink, etc. Any member that shows their membership card gets 10% discount off food, except for $5. lunch specials.

Steve

The Club would like to thank Chuck Skinner for his donation of $40. from

his 50/50 earnings. “This was the first

time he had ever won anything”, he cxplained.

Also a thank you goes out to Mr. Giannelli who has donated 100 lbs. of sausage for our upcoming ride refreshment stand. Thanks so much for making our menu more enticing.

CLUB NEWSLETTER

A newsletter raffle to help with this year’s cost will start this month. We will sell 1000 tickets at $5. each. First prize will be $500. with four other prizes of $100. each. The tickets are part of the May newsletter. One of the newsletter pages will include three tickets. You don’t have to purchase all three, but if you would like to buy/sell the other two you are welcome to do so. We hope all members will buy at least one ticket. All ticket holders will be responsible for mailing in the stub and check for any tickets purchased. The raffle drawing will be held at the Landowners Dinner on September 19, 2010.

Additional raffle tickets will be available at each meeting throughout the season and at all Club events. The Chairperson for this raffle is Dorine Setter who can be reached at 315-350-9609 with any questions.

Remember, if all members bought just one ticket the cost for printing and mailing the newsletter would be covered for the year. We need your help to bring you all the news you deserve.

OSWEGO COUNTY FAIR

CAR PARKING

The Club has again been hired for $2500. to help in parking

cars during the Oswego County Fair in Sandy Creek. The event will run from July 1st to July 5th. We are looking for volunteers to help with this event. Sign up sheets will be available at each upcoming meeting. This is a good fund raiser for the Club and we need your help. We don’t want to have to hire workers.

Each year it becomes a little bit better and more help is added. Come join in and help the Club and the County with this event.

Free camping for all workers will be available. The Club members help with providing food for our workers. Donations of cases of water for the fair workers will be needed. Call Mary @ 298-5444 to arrange delivery.

NYSORVA RAFFLE

This raffle has been a great fund raiser for our Club. For each ticket we sell the Club receives $2.50 of the $5. cost. Again this year we have been asked to participate in this raffle and hope that you all will take tickets at the next meeting to sell. The raffle drawing is in October, 2010 with a give-away totaling well over $1000. You might even be lucky enough to win this drawing and help the Club.

ATV PATROL

The ATV Patrol is set and presently out patrolling trails looking for violators such as speeders, aggressive riders, lout exhaust, and non-club members on the trails. Members need to follow all NYS Laws, and club rules at all times.

You can contact Brad Hilton at 298-3261 or Steve Cronk at 298-3312 with any information of violators.

WORKERS DINNER

August 28th has been chosen for a Thank You Dinner to recognize all the workers who have put in countless hours to make our riding fun and stress free and keeping our trails in great shape.

The dinner will be held at You Guys Place in Altmar for all who have worked a minimum of 20 hrs. at trail duties, club events, or fair parking. Such members may also bring 1 guest.

Time to be announced at a later date.

NEWSLETTER EDITOR REPLACEMENT

While I have enjoyed being your editor for almost five years, it is time for me to step down. I will still be involved with making signs, posters, etc., advertising when needed.

At the May meeting it was agreed that Barb Cronk will be taking over this job. I’m sure she will do a good job and I wish her well.
